The parents/guardians have the prime responsibility
to take care of their wards in all aspects. The transition
from school to college is a very crucial period in an individual's
life. In one sense, the whole future of the student rests
on this transition period. Parents must be vigilant towards
their children during this time. For the proper monitoring
of the students by the parents, their academic progress and
attendance are fed into the college website regularly. A parent
can browse the academic progress and cumulative attendance
as well as the hour-wise attendance of the previous ten days.
For this purpose each student will be assigned a password
and login number. They are given to the I PU students in the
last week of July.
After each Terminal Examination, parents
will receive a printed report card through the students. Parents
may please contact the counseling centre if this report card
does not reach them. For parents, who cannot access Internet,
information is available at the counselling centre throughout
the year. In addition to Term Examinations, Unit Tests are
being conducted in all months.
PARENTS ARE EXPECTED TO KEEP THEMSELVES FULLY
INFORMED ABOUT THE STUDENT'S PROGRESS, USING THE FACILITIES
PROVIDED BY THE COLLEGE. NO EXCUSES WILL BE ENTERTAINED IF
THE STUDENT DOES NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED ATTENDANCE AND MARKS
AT THE END OF THE YEAR.
Parents/guardians are highly recommended
to call on the counselor at least once a term, to ascertain
from him the progress of the student in academics personality
and other related areas.
